Who is eligible for funded grant schemes?
Eligibility depends on the scheme. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is open to most homeowners replacing fossil-fuel heating with a heat pump, with no means test. The Warm Homes: Local Grant is income- or benefit-based for homes in EPC bands D–G. Our quick eligibility checker gives an indicative result, all confirmed by survey.
How much could a grant be worth?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme offers up to £7,500 towards an air-source or ground-source heat pump. A temporary £9,000 grant is available for off-gas-grid homes on oil or LPG between 21 July 2026 and 31 March 2027. Other measures are covered under the Warm Homes: Local Grant for eligible households.
What is a retrofit assessment?
A retrofit assessment is a professional survey of your home carried out to the PAS 2035 standard. It identifies the most effective, safe energy-efficiency improvements and forms the basis of a whole-house retrofit plan. Our assessments are carried out by qualified, experienced surveyors.
Do I have to pay anything?
Many measures are fully funded for eligible households, and our initial assessment is carried out with no obligation. Where a grant covers part of the cost, we’ll always be clear about any contribution before any work begins.
